Rufus notes and discussion points
- Volume & velocity (Daniela): No meaningful progress on this workstream recently, including coordination between Daniela and myself. This remains a gap given its importance for sustained output and visibility.
- Podcast production: We have not recorded or released new episodes. This is a stalled sub-stream that requires immediate attention to restart cadence and distribution.
- Product promotion (Product Hunt): I supported Ola on the Product Hunt launch, which appeared to perform well; Ola will provide a fuller update. This is a positive example of focused execution on a defined initiative.
- Paid ads workstream: We currently lack a clearly defined ads stream, which should likely sit with Daniela. This needs to be formalized and scoped as a distinct channel for demand generation.
- Need for focused sprint: There is a case for a short, intensive sprint to unblock progress across key initiatives. Current fragmentation suggests we are not allocating sufficient dedicated time to priority work.
- Clarity on next initiative: We need to define the next concrete initiative (not just ongoing workstreams), including clear goals and ownership. This should then be actively tracked to ensure momentum and accountability.
- In-person collaboration: Bringing together team members (particularly in Europe, including Anu) could significantly improve alignment and execution. This is a strategic option worth exploring for both the innovation and marketing teams.
Activity stream updates from Discord
Product Promotion
Flowershow:
- recorded a video and posted about Obsidian Canvas support
- prepared a demo DnD site and a post for r/DnD subreddit and about to publish that
- planned next focus area with Rufus yesterday, which is Publishing with Flowershow from the CLI (Publishing a single md file, a whole website, and html file (e.g. slides generated by AI) etc.)

AutoClaw
Renamed from OC Autopilot
The product is now called AutoClaw, with domain autoclaw.sh (was autopilot.datopian.com).
Updated across:
offers/oc-autopilot.md→offers/autoclaw.mddashboard.md— name, URL, north starnorth-star.md— row updated
North star
200 GitHub stars by end of Q2 2026.
Thresholds (from Q2 plan):
- 50 = minimum
- 100 = success
- 200 = stretch / our target
Supporting signals to track alongside stars: external issues/PRs/discussions, inbound interest, confirmed installs or deployments.
Press release headline: "AutoClaw: An Open Framework for Deploying AI Agents — Built in Public"
Strategic framing (from SCQH)
AutoClaw is an open-source framework and reference implementation, not a SaaS product. The bet is on ecosystem traction and learning — becoming unusually good at AgentOps/AI SRE before the category gets named and crowded. Client work matters as validation and forcing function, not as the primary goal.
Next step
Public repo live at autoclaw.sh, first framework asset shipped.
Repo (github.com/datopian/autoclaw.sh)
Restructured for open source release:
- MIT license added
- Real Cloudflare IDs removed (account ID, database ID, gateway ID) — replaced with placeholders in
wrangler.jsonc - Hardcoded internal fallback URL removed from
_worker.ts - Internal docs (drafts/, plans/) restored and kept in repo
- Git history rewritten to scrub sensitive values
- Repo restructured: app moved into
examples/openclaw-aaas/, root now serves as framework hub withtemplates/,playbooks/,examples/
DataHub
Started posting on Reddit from March 31st. Following the content calendar in datahub-reddit-content-calendar.md.
Volume and velocity
I clarified the next phase of Volume & Velocity and turned it into a concrete v1 automation plan for the repo. The plan focuses on a low-friction workflow where people can post lightweight updates in #whats-cooking, AI does the heavy lifting of adding context and drafting strong posts for X/LinkedIn/Meta, and marketing mainly reviews and approves before auto-publishing. See https://github.com/datopian/marketing/blob/main/volume-and-velocity/V1-AUTOMATION-PLAN.md
CRM
No updates
Granola notes
Meeting Format & Cadence
- Meeting extended to 1 hour (previously 30 min, always overran) to allow updates + planning
- Format agreed: written updates posted to Discord (#content-log or #marketing channel) before sharing verbally, then flag discussion points rather than reading updates aloud
- Rufus’s invitation to Daniela: be more assertive in facilitating — tell people what to do rather than checking if it’s okay
Marketing Updates
- Yoana: single source of truth for PortalJS Cloud now live on the Datopian website
- Includes launch & distribution asset kit, master brand brief, taglines — needs Rufus’s review
- April content calendar ready: 3 LinkedIn posts/week (mixed PortalJS Cloud + other content), plus distribution to Dev.to and Medium
- Product Hunt launch agreed for late April
- Anuar: Datopian content calendar publishing on Reddit has started
- Shift from SaaS product to open-source experiment — publishing patterns, playbooks; north star and domain updated in marketing repo
- Ola: posted YouTube video and Reddit post (Obsidian subreddit) — performing well
- Identified new subreddit opportunity: D&D (people creating game lore); demo site created, post planned
- All content being logged in #content-log channel going forward
- Daniela: V1 automation plan created for development velocity activity
- Keeps low-friction workflow (e.g. Ola posts URLs, AI generates quality posts from minimal input)
- Yoana to review and feedback — primarily impacts her workflow
Discussion Points
- Product ownership clarity needed for PortalJS
- Rufus’s view: Anuar is technical product lead, but sign-off authority on launches (e.g. Product Hunt) is unclear
- Not clear whether Yoana owns PortalJS and what authority that carries
- Product Hunt retrospective: Rufus wants Ola to produce a short consolidated video covering what was done, what happened, results, and learnings
- Ola pushed back on value; Rufus to follow up 1-on-1 to align
- Promises & accountability: Rufus flagged looseness around commitments — wants clearer promises with deadlines and follow-up
- Mini sprint: proposal to spend focused time together on volume & velocity
- Provisional plan: Friday, a couple of hours, then plan the following week
- Ola, Monika thumbs up; Rufus agreed
- Founder interview (Rufus): Yoana to interview Rufus on Riverside for content
- Rufus prefers late April (currently very busy)
- Podcast: next episode needed; Monika flagged as potential owner for distributing clips/shorts from Riverside
Next Steps
- Daniela
- Schedule Friday mini sprint in team calendars (check calendars first)
- Follow up with Monika re CRM (Monika to potentially pick this up; discuss Friday)
- Initiatives: ensure each has a promise, plan, and backlog entry
- Create Google Calendar invite with Riverside link for podcast recording today (~4:20pm)
- Yoana
- Review Daniela’s V1 automation plan for development velocity
- Review Volume & Velocity document
- Schedule Rufus founder interview on Riverside — late April
- Rufus (Datopian)
- Review PortalJS Cloud launch & distribution asset kit and master brand brief
- Ola
- Post D&D subreddit demo site
- Produce short retrospective video on Product Hunt launch (Rufus to follow up 1-on-1)
